Aretéan are often called together for gatherings called Convocations.

Village Convocation

A village convocation is an Aretéan gathering in which an entire village is called together by the village Narrator for some purpose. A village convocation often includes: the ritual binding of the Religarium, the singing of powerful songs as a group, the saluting of heroes for their positive influence, the sharing of meaningful contemplations, the announcing of village business, the issuance of a weekly challenge, the delivery of an inspiring sermon, and the performance of the dedication ritual.

Other Convocations

There are other circumstances in which members are called together. Frequently, Aretéans belonging to a particular quorum will be called together to conduct quorum business. Also, on nine days out of the year, we have special holiday convocations in which an important holiday ritual is performed, for which villagers are invited to commit themselves to a seasonal challenge.
